PARÉ Innovations × Vasant Creative

LINOMATIC-PRINTPACK

From 36 sqm to 800+ sqm.
From India to China and Germany.

There is a big difference between designing an exhibition booth around products that sit on a shelf and designing one around machines that can occupy a significant part of the floor themselves. Our work with Line O Matic has taught us a great deal about the latter. For more than a decade, Vasant Creative has designed and executed exhibition spaces for Line O Matic across India, China and Germany, at major industry exhibitions including China Print, PrintPack India, PAMEX, Paperex, K and PlastIndia.

Some projects have been compact, around 36 sqm. Others have grown to 800 sqm and more. The scale has changed. The country has changed. The exhibition has changed.

Our responsibility has remained largely the same: understand what needs to happen inside the space, take care of what needs to happen behind it, and make sure the client's team can focus on the exhibition itself.

When the machines
define the floor plan

Line O Matic manufactures machinery for the stationery, paper converting, printing and packaging industries. Designing an exhibition environment around machinery of that nature starts with function.

Before we decide where a meeting area should go or what the façade should look like, we need to understand the machines How large are they? How will they enter the exhibition hall? Where will they be positioned? Which ones will run live? Where will visitors stand during demonstrations? How will the technical team access them? How do we create comfortable spaces for conversations without interrupting movement around the equipment? Only then does the rest of the exhibition architecture begin to take shape.

The challenge is to solve all of those practical requirements without allowing the space to feel like a factory floor with branding added around it.

The machines need to remain the heroes, but the environment around them still needs to represent the brand. That balance has shaped many of the spaces we have created for Line O Matic.

What changes when –
the booth becomes 800 sqm?

At a certain size, exhibition design becomes an exercise in coordination as much as creativity. For Line O Matic, Vasant Creative has executed exhibition environments of approximately 800 sqm and larger, alongside many smaller projects over the years.

A space of that scale has a lot happening before a visitor ever walks into it. Large machines need to reach the correct positions on the exhibition floor. Electrical and technical requirements have to align with them. Visitor circulation needs to work around demonstrations. Branding needs enough presence to hold a very large footprint together. Meeting and hospitality areas still need to feel comfortable And multiple teams need to complete all of it against one deadline that cannot move: the opening of the exhibition.

Visitors ultimately see the finished space. What they don’t see is the planning and coordination required to make that space ready for them. That is a large part of our job.

From 800+ sqm
to 36 sqm

One of the things we value about this relationship is its range. Our work with Line O Matic hasn’t always meant building bigger. We have worked across everything from large-format machinery exhibitions of 800 sqm and more to focused spaces of around 36 sqm and the smaller project isn’t necessarily the easier one. An 800 sqm space gives you scale, but it also brings considerable operational complexity.

A 36 sqm booth gives you far less room, which means every square metre has to work harder. Sometimes the requirement is to demonstrate several machines to thousands of visitors. Sometimes it is simply to establish the right presence in an important international market The footprint changes according to what the business needs from that exhibition. Our job is to design accordingly.

China, 2013

Our international exhibition journey with Line O Matic goes back to China Print in 2013. At the time, Line O Matic was using the exhibition to strengthen its presence in the Chinese and wider Asian market.

Vasant Creative worked with the company on its exhibition presence in China. Four years later, we were back together at China Print 2017. That second project matters to us because international execution is not simply about getting one booth built overseas.

Every country has a different exhibition ecosystem. Venue regulations differ. Production practices differ. Materials can differ. Labour works differently. Communication happens across teams, time zones and sometimes languages.

The client shouldn’t have to learn that ecosystem from scratch every time it enters a new market. Our role is to manage as much of that complexity as possible.

Meanwhile,
the scale in India kept growing

While the relationship travelled internationally, our work with Line O Matic continued across some of India’s major printing and paper exhibitions. There have been multiple editions of PrintPack India, PAMEX and Paperex, followed more recently by PlastIndia.

The projects have included spaces of approximately 160 sqm, 180 sqm, 288 sqm, 126 sqm, 476 sqm and 800 sqm and more across different editions and requirements.

They have taken us from Mumbai to Delhi NCR, including repeated large-format exhibition execution at major venues in both markets.

Each project started again. A different floor plan, Different machines, Different visitor requirements, Different branding, Different business priorities. That’s important a long client relationship should make execution more familiar. It shouldn’t make the design repetitive.

Then the
Relationship travelled to Germany

In 2025, our work with Line O Matic took us to K in Düsseldorf, Germany, one of the world’s major international exhibitions for the plastics and rubber industry. This time, the requirement was very different from some of the large-format projects we had executed together in India. The space was 13 m × 5 m. Smaller footprint. International venue. Different objective.

Vasant Creative coordinated the project through our international execution network, taking the requirement from India through to execution in Germany. The booth was completed and handed over ahead of schedule. That project represented something we believe strongly about international exhibition work. Global capability isn’t about having someone’s phone number in another country.

It is about being able to understand a client’s requirement here, coordinate the people responsible for executing it there, and remain accountable for what ultimately gets handed over.

India. China. Germany.

For us, the Line O Matic relationship tells a bigger story than any one booth a client can need 800+ sqm at one exhibition and a fraction of that at another. It can exhibit in Delhi this year, Mumbai next, China at another point and Germany later. The client’s business decides where it needs to be. Its exhibition partner needs to be able to follow.

Vasant Creative is an exhibition stall design and construction company executing projects across India and international markets through our capabilities in India and an established network of global execution partners. The purpose of that network is not simply to put more countries on a map. It is to give the client one point of responsibility across markets. Because when Line O Matic participates in an exhibition, its team has far more important things to think about.

Which customers are coming?, Which machines need to be demonstrated?, Which new products are being launched?, Which meetings need to happen, What does the sales team need to achieve during those few days? Those are the conversations that matter. Who is fabricating a particular wall, whether a graphic has reached the venue, or which local team is installing something shouldn’t need to become the client’s problem.

Our job is to take care of the exhibition space so their team can focus on the business happening inside it.

More than
A decade later

From China Print 2013 to K Germany 2025, our work with Line O Matic has travelled a considerable distance. There have been projects in India. Projects in China, Projects in Germany, Compact spaces of around 36 sqm, Large machinery environments of 800 sqm and more And many different scales in between. But perhaps the most useful thing more than a decade of working together gives us isn’t familiarity with the booth.

It is familiarity with the client. We understand that before designing the space, we need to understand the machines. Before thinking about how large the booth looks, we need to understand how it needs to work and before worrying about what visitors will see, someone needs to take responsibility for everything they won’t.

For more than a decade, Vasant Creative has designed and executed exhibition spaces for Line O Matic across India, China and Germany, ranging from compact booths to large-format machinery exhibition environments of 800 sqm and more. Different scales. Different countries. Different exhibitions. One objective: make exhibiting easier for the client, wherever the next exhibition takes them.
