Ador Welding × Vasant Creative
Case study · Ador Welding × Vasant Creative
From 60 sqm in Mumbai to the global stage
Our first booth for Ador Welding was 60 sqm in Mumbai. Our next project together had a 60 sqm mezzanine alone, and it wasn’t in India. It was at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2023 in Essen, Germany, one of the most important international exhibitions for the welding industry.
We weren’t handed one of their most important international projects on day one. We first had an opportunity to prove ourselves.

Chapter 01 · November 2022
It started at India Essen Welding
In November 2022, Ador Welding was returning to the exhibition floor in India after a considerable gap. India Essen Welding in Mumbai was an important exhibition for the company. It was also Vasant Creative’s first project with Ador.
At the same time, Ador was already preparing for something considerably bigger: SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen, Germany. They were evaluating established exhibition companies for the international project, and we knew our first opportunity in Mumbai mattered.
India Essen Welding wasn’t about proving how much we could do with 60 sqm. It was about understanding the brand, the products, the team and what Ador expected from an exhibition partner, while giving their team a chance to see how we worked. We designed and executed the booth, and the relationship moved forward.

Chapter 02 · SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2023
The next brief was Germany
The ground-floor space was approximately 156 sqm, with an additional 60 sqm mezzanine above it: roughly 216 sqm of usable space across two levels.
The mezzanine alone was the same size as our entire first booth for Ador in Mumbai. The upper floor wasn’t added simply to make the booth larger. Each level had a different job to do.
One level needed energy and visibility. The other needed privacy and hospitality. Both needed to feel like one Ador environment.
Chapter 03 · Execution
Building upwards, in Germany
A mezzanine booth introduces a very different level of exhibition execution. The additional floor isn’t simply another design feature. The structure has to give enough privacy upstairs without making the ground floor feel enclosed or heavy, and movement between the levels needs to feel natural.
All of it had to be coordinated within the working practices and regulations of a venue thousands of kilometres from India. This is where international exhibition capability matters.

A design created in India still has to work when someone builds it in Germany. Our responsibility was to make sure it did.
Chapter 04 · The platform
More than just another international booth
SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN was an important platform for Ador. At the 2023 edition, the company introduced its Rhino E electric welder to an international audience, as part of its focus on new welding technologies.
The booth was the environment in which an established Indian welding company presented its technology, met international customers and distributors, and represented its brand to the global welding industry.

Chapter 05 · FABEX, Saudi Arabia
Germany wasn’t the end of the story
The relationship continued beyond Essen. Vasant Creative designed and executed Ador Welding’s 54 sqm exhibition booth at FABEX in Saudi Arabia. A different country, a different venue and a different scale from the two-level environment in Germany.
Ador’s exhibition calendar could move from one market to another without starting the design and execution relationship again.
And then, two years after our first project in Essen, we went back.
Chapter 06 · SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025
Back to Essen, not back to the same design
Ador returned to SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in 2025, and Vasant Creative worked with them again on an exhibition space of approximately 200 sqm. We didn’t want a shared history to produce a familiar-looking booth. The design language changed.
The products and technology remained the focus. The architecture gave them room to be. Experience from the previous project should make the next one better informed. It shouldn’t make it a repetition of the previous one.

Chapter 07 · Where it stands
From an opportunity to a relationship
When we first started working with Ador, they had choices. Our job wasn’t to tell them Vasant Creative could become their exhibition partner across markets. Our job was to show them.
Today, Vasant Creative has designed and executed exhibition spaces for Ador Welding across India, Germany and Saudi Arabia, including two editions of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen and a large two-level mezzanine environment for the 2023 participation.

Ador’s team shouldn’t travel to an exhibition to think about contractors, structures, graphics, furniture or what is happening behind the booth. They should be thinking about the people walking into it.

The first project gave us a chance to earn Ador’s trust. The projects that followed are the part we’re proudest of.

From 60 sqm in Mumbai to
Our first booth for Ador Welding was 60 sqm in Mumbai. Our next project together had a 60 sqm mezzanine alone and it wasn't in India. It was at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2023 in Essen, Germany — one of the world's most important international exhibitions for the welding industry.
That progression says quite a lot about how our relationship with Ador began. We weren't handed one of their most important international exhibition projects on day one. We first had an opportunity to prove ourselves.
It started at
India Essen Welding
In November 2022, Ador Welding was returning to the exhibition floor in India after a considerable gap. India Essen Welding in Mumbai was an important exhibition for the company. It was also Vasant Creative's first project with Ador.
The booth was approximately 60 sqm. At the same time, Ador was already preparing for something considerably bigger: SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen, Germany. They were evaluating established exhibition companies for the international project, and we knew that our first opportunity in Mumbai mattered.
For us, India Essen Welding wasn't about trying to prove how much we could do with 60 sqm. It was about understanding the brand, the products, the team and what Ador expected from an exhibition partner — while giving their team an opportunity to understand how we worked. We designed and executed the booth and the relationship moved forward.
The
next brief was Germany
For SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2023, the requirement changed completely. The ground-floor exhibition space was approximately 156 sqm, with an additional 60 sqm mezzanine above it — creating roughly 216 sqm of usable space across two levels.
The comparison was difficult to miss. The mezzanine alone was the same size as our entire first booth for Ador in Mumbai. But the upper floor wasn’t added simply to make the booth larger. Each level had a different job to do. The ground floor was the public face of Ador at the exhibition — a space for products, technology, demonstrations, visitors and conversations with an international welding audience.
The mezzanine created a more private environment above the exhibition floor. It included a café and premium discussion spaces where Ador’s directors could sit with senior customers, international delegates and important visitors away from the activity below. One level needed energy and visibility. The other needed privacy and hospitality. Both needed to feel like one Ador environment.
Building
Upwards — in Germany
A mezzanine booth introduces a very different level of exhibition execution. The additional floor isn’t simply another design feature. Structure, load calculations, stair access, safety requirements, venue approvals and local regulations all become part of the project.
Then comes the experience itself. The structure has to provide enough privacy upstairs without making the ground floor underneath feel enclosed or heavy. Movement between both levels needs to feel natural.
The architecture has to accommodate Ador’s products and technical requirements while still representing the company appropriately on an international stage. And all of it has to be coordinated within the working practices and regulations of a venue thousands of kilometres from India for Vasant Creative, this is where international exhibition capability matters.
A design created in India still has to work when someone actually builds it in Germany. Our responsibility was to make sure it did.
More
Than just another international booth
SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN was an important platform for Ador. At the 2023 edition, the company introduced its Rhino E electric welder to an international audience as part of its focus on new welding technologies. That context mattered to us.
The booth wasn’t simply somewhere to put machines and branding. It was the environment in which an established Indian welding company was presenting its technology, meeting international customers and distributors, and representing its brand to the global welding industry.
Our work was behind the scenes so that Ador’s team could concentrate on what was happening in front of them. The customers, the demonstrations, the senior meetings upstairs, The international conversations and the business those conversations could create.
Germany
wasn’t the end of the story
The relationship continued beyond Essen. Vasant Creative subsequently designed and executed Ador Welding’s 54 sqm exhibition booth at FABEX in Saudi Arabia. It was a very different requirement from the two-level environment in Germany. Different country, Different venue, Different scale. But it demonstrated something that was becoming increasingly important in our relationship.
Ador’s exhibition calendar could move from one market to another without needing to start the entire design and execution relationship again. And then, two years after our first project in Essen, we went back.
Back to Essen in 2025 —
But not back to the same design
Ador returned to SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Germany in 2025. Vasant Creative worked with them again, this time on an exhibition space of approximately 200 sqm. But we didn’t want the fact that we had worked together before to result in a familiar-looking booth. The design language changed.
The 2025 space moved towards a distinctly clean, contemporary European aesthetic. Straight architectural lines. Glossy white flooring. A restrained white environment and carefully placed Ador red accents that brought the brand into the space without overpowering it.
The products and technology remained the focus. The architecture gave them room to be. That evolution matters to us in any long-term client relationship. Experience from the previous project should make the next one better informed. It shouldn’t make it a repetition of the previous one.
Mumbai. Germany. Saudi Arabia. Germany again.
Looking back, the geography tells one part of the story. Mumbai → Essen → Saudi Arabia → Essen again. But the progression in trust tells the more interesting one. Our first opportunity was a 60 sqm booth in Mumbai.
The next project took us to Germany for a 156 sqm exhibition space with an additional 60 sqm mezzanine. The relationship then travelled to Saudi Arabia and in 2025, Ador entrusted Vasant Creative with its presence at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Germany once again. We didn’t begin this relationship by being handed the biggest project. and that’s precisely why the story matters to us.
From
An opportunity to a relationship
When we first started working with Ador, they had choices. Our job wasn’t to tell them that Vasant Creative could become their exhibition partner across markets. Our job was to show them.
First in Mumbai, then in Germany, then Saudi Arabia, then Germany again. Today, Vasant Creative has designed and executed exhibition spaces for Ador Welding across India, Germany and Saudi Arabia, including two editions of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen and a large two-level mezzanine exhibition environment for the company’s 2023 participation. Across those projects, our role has extended from exhibition design and planning through international coordination, construction, installation and handover. But ultimately, the purpose behind all of that work is quite simple.
Ador’s team shouldn’t be travelling to an exhibition to think about contractors, structures, graphics, furniture or what is happening behind the booth. They should be thinking about the people walking into it. Their customers. Their technology. Their conversations. Their business.
