CII’s Technical Textile Expo
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has announced the opening of its first textiles exhibition to meet the post-pandemic needs of Indian exhibitors in emerging markets. The event served as a link between exhibitors and potential buyers. The event provides business chances for the industry to connect to a broader audience from around the world. The main goal of the CII is to concentrate on ‘Lead Generation.’
While inaugurating the Summit, the Minister of State for Textiles, E.V.K.S. Elangovan said, “India has the capability to take advantage of the developments in this field (technical textiles). With a large textile manufacturing base and technical manpower, India has the potential to become the leading exporter of various technical textile products”.
“With greater investments, focused R&D efforts, and creation of the state of the art common testing facilities we can emerge as a leading technical textile manufacturer and exporter”, added the Minister.
Both Indian and international industry executives show interest in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Technical Textile Summit. In the next five years, the use of technical textiles will be stressed across a variety of application areas, including agro textiles, geotextiles, and protective textiles. Regulations and Standards, which contribute to an extension of innovation space, intellectual property, and prospects for the sector, are two critical factors to focus on for the continued growth of technical textiles.
